Scar Camouflage involves the experimental process with each patient of seeking and finding the matching skin tone colors of ink to use on any white, pink, purple scars outside of the areola perimeter. Cathi uses her trademarked "flutter stroke" procedure to soften and blend surrounding skin color into the evident scar, creating an illusion of softness and blended skin tone. It is done twice in two sessions alongside the areola and nipple procedure so that everything heals at the same rate. Scar camouflage procedure is not an exact science and is understood between Areola Architect and patient that end results vary depending on circumstance, skin, surgeries, radiation, chemotherapy. Only a few patients feel the need to have scar camouflage attempted, once they see the magic created through the Locati Areola Procedure which tricks the eye into believing that there are no scars at all. Less is more with Micropigmentation.
